On Monday, October 9, the Kelley House Museum is hosting a Service Day for volunteers to pitch in and help out with minor repairs, painting and gardening at the 1861 historic house and grounds. Beginning with pastries and mimosas at 8:30 a.m., the work day starts at nine, breaking for lunch courtesy of Mendocino Cafe at noon. At 12:30 p.m., the garden will be dedicated to the late Martha Wagner, a steadfast benefactor of the Kelley House for many years. Work resumes from 1:00-3:00 p.m., followed by beer and wine to celebrate a job well done. The event is sponsored by Rossi’s Hardware.

If you can lend a hand on projects to improve the grounds and house, RSVP to [email protected] or call 937-5791. Painters, carpenters, electricians, gardeners and all willing to help are asked to please bring work gloves and come.
