The local community has had thirty years to amass their favorite Mendocino Music Festival memories. That memory could be of a musician, an orchestral performance, a child watching opera for the first time, or an impromptu gathering of chamber musicians on a lawn in town, just making music. The Kelley House Museum will host “Tales of the Festival – A Sunday Afternoon With…Marcia Lotter” during this year’s Festival on July 17, 2016 at 4:00 p.m.
Lotter has been a violinist and associate concertmaster with the Mendocino Music Festival since its beginning; she also co-hosts a weekly classical music program on KZYX radio. Ms. Lotter will speak about classic moments, providing Festival lore and favorite memories. Those attending are invited to share memories after Lotter’s presentation. Secrets may be revealed!
Coincident with the Festival, a special retrospective exhibit of posters, photographs and program related memorabilia will be on display during museum hours of 11a.m. to 3 p.m. Fridays through Mondays, from July 9th through July 23rd.
Admission to the Sunday Afternoon With program on the 17th is a $7 donation or $5 for Kelley House Museum members. Please enter from the Albion Street side of the museum.
