SCIENCE SUNDAY with Dr. Walt McKeown
The popular series “Science Sunday” continues at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 6, at the Kelley House Museum. Retired Navy scientist Dr. Walt McKeown will present “Plan B: Colonizing the Moon,” exploring the efforts required for colonization on Earth’s natural satellite.
Known locally for years on radio and in print as “Colonel Wingnuts,” Dr. Walt got his Ph.D. in 1993 from the University of Wisconsin. He then spent 15 years as a Navy scientist in atmospherics and oceanography. He taught astronomy and meteorology at College of the Redwoods.
